"Eyes on the Planet" is an international photographic contest with a strong social and environmental character addressed to young emerging photographers and to photographic enthusiast between the age of 18 and 35.
It will be opened from March to September 2008.
A panel made up of 13 famous photographers and outstanding people from institutions and media will evaluate the pictures: the winners will be awarded products offered by sponsors, workshop and grant for professional or recreational training courses.
In addition, web users can vote the pictures: their preferences will generate a result list parallel to the official one.
The winners will be announced and awarded on occasion of an event in Milan in November 2008.
The contest aims both at raising awareness among young people and the general public on the latest socio-environmental issues by documenting the huge changes that we are witnessing in our planet, and to approach young people keen about photography in a reliable way, giving them visibility and concrete training opportunities.
