
Technical jury is made up of twelve famous photographers and outstanding people from istitutions, media and partners.
Giovanna Calvenzi was born in Milan, where in 1973 she got a degree in "Magistero di Lettere" (Teacher's Training College). From 1973 to 1985 she has been teaching History of Photography in C.F.P. of Società Umanitaria (Humanitarian Company) and in the meantime she has been collaborating with several magazines (Il Fotografo, Capital, Amica, Domus, Interni, Photo Italia, Linea Grafica). In 1985 she became Amica photo editor. Afterwards, she became Max Chief Editor (1987); Sette (Corriere della Sera supplement) Photo Editor from 1987 to 1989; Vanity Fair Photo Director in 1990; Lei Glamour Director (1991-92); Moda Photo Editor (from 1992 to 1996) and then Specchio della Stampa Photo Editor (1996-2000). She collaborated in the production of photo exhibitions and books and she is carrying on an intense activity in the field of contemporary photography research. From January 2000 she is SPORTWEEK photo editor, magazine belonging to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
ANDREA BELTRAME – Born in Milan, he graduated at "Centro di Formazione Professionale per le Tecniche Cinetelevisive" and he has been assistant operator for advertising production companies. He worked as assistant photographer for fashion magazines and for the "Festival del Cinema di Venezia". Among his clients as free lance photographer there are "Il Corriere della Sera", "Costa Crociere", "Ente Conservatorio di Milano". Now he is Technical Manager at Istituto Italiano di Fotografia and Portrait teacher at John Casablancas. At Istituto Italiano di Fotografia, he also manages Artside, the section dedicated to the cultural events and exhibitions.
Manfrotto CEO. Francesco Bernardi has helped Manfrotto become the top in its field. With extensive experience in the Fashion Wear industry he has worked for such companies as Stefanel as the Marketing Director – Licensing, Benetton Sportsystem as Brand Manager, Hugo Boss as Trade Marketing Manager.
Emilio Casi is a successful photographer in the fashion area and celebrities ADV. He is the founder of "E.C Image Management", one of the best known photographic agencies, and "So What?", innovative ADV agency founded at the beginning of the 90s. In more than 20 years of consolidated career, he has been realizing and developing photographic, advertising and editorial projects for some of the most important international agencies. Since 2005, he has been Connexia Creative Director. Connexia is an integrated communication agency with focus on public relations, creativity and multimedia communication.

Director of Photography. Has realized over 107 films, worked with renowned directors such as, Fellini, Monicelli, Dino Risi, Scola, Pasolini, Germi, Bolognini, Montaldo, Lizzani, Bruno and Sergio Corrucci. Giovanni is also active in the world of advertising with Coca Cola, Lindt, and Buitoni. Giovanni has taught techniques for the Language of Photojournalism at Università L.U.M.S.A. in Roma since 1996 for graduate students majoring in Communication Science with special focus on Editing and Journalism. He is an editorialist/contributor for Magazines, cinejournals and TV shows focused on Photographic and cinematographic information.
Giulio Forti publisher of FOTOGRAFIA REFLEX in Rome, Italy, is recognized as an expert industry-watcher. He regularly travels to attend the most important photo exhibitions and to visit companies and factories in Europe, Asia and America. Being in contact with engineers and managers helped him to get information about technologies and strategies first hand. Founder and editor-in-chief of Fotografia Reflex, Giulio Forti is Vice Chairman of the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
His expertise in the areas of commercial, industrial and portraiture photography already firmly established, Don returned to the field that first inspired him to become a photographer, nature and landscape. Since that time over ten years ago, Don has shared with students his experience and the techniques used to capture some of the most beautiful settings and wildlife in the country. When not out in the field, Don is a faculty member teaching at Tri Community Photography and was recently invited to teach photography at the new REI Outdoor School established for the LA Area. This is in addition to his ongoing workshops, seminars, lectures and exhibitions.
Edoardo Isnenghi is a scientific consultant in WWF Italy for the development of cooperation projects under the international Cooperation Office. He works in developing programmes in priority eco-regions of the world linked to the protection, management and sustainable use of natural resources.
Moreover, he is currently appointed in the Coordination Committee of the Masters degree in Environmental and Forest Certification of the University of Tuscia (Director of the Master Prof.. Rosanna Bellarosa), as well as Assistant Professor for forest monitoring and certification.
Since March 2005 Isnenghi is Chief Executive of Pro.For.Ma. Inc., consulting firm working in environmental field, forest certification and training on the issues of sustainable management of natural resources and international cooperation.
He wrote a number of articles and disseminating information on forest certification in magazines and specialized magazines.
Director of Sales and Service, Corbis Italy. Following an intense and ongoing effort of well over two years in his role as Account Managing Director of Corbis Italy’s commercial sales, Luca Messaggi has been promoted to Director of Sales and Service this past December. Prior to joining Corbis, Luca Messaggi managed sales development at Photonica where he was responsible for the sales channel for South America, Central America and the Middle East. Luca Messaggi began his journey at Corbis in 2004 as a Senior Account Manager in International Market Development. The opportunity to collaborate with Corbis EMEA representatives in their effort to increase commercial revenue lead to his subsequent position of Sales Director at Zefa Milan.
Marco Pagani, 47 years old, chief staff editor of Gente Viaggi, Italian monthly travel magazine published by Hachette Rusconi Editore. From Patagonia to Canada, from the Victoria Falls to Zambia and to the jungle of Sri Lanka, his portfolio of reportages is full of stamps, places, and people. He speaks English, French, Spanish and Greek.
Was first professional photographer, then photographer's agent; Tomesani founded the Italian National Association of Professional Photographers, TAU Visual; adviser in the Tax Commission Validation for "sector studies" of government's "Agenzia delle Entrate", for professional photography; is coordinator of photography courses for Istituto Europeo di Design, Milan. He was chief editor of professional magazine Progresso Fotografico, and editor of magazines Zoom and Fotonotiziario. He is author of several articles, studies, books and manuals in photography.
